APPLE CHEDDAR QUESADILLAS

Apple Cheddar Quesadillas

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 flour tortillas, 8-inch size

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1 medium crisp apple, thinly sliced with peel on

  • 2 teaspoons honey mustard, optional

  • 1 teaspoon butter

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Place a nonstick skillet over medium heat.

  2. Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of a tortilla and set it butter-side down in the skillet. Scatter ½ cup of the shredded cheddar evenly over the tortilla.

  3. Layer half of the apple slices on top of the cheese and drizzle with 1 teaspoon of honey mustard if using.

  4. Place another tortilla on top, butter side up.

  5. Cook for about 2 to 3 minutes until the underside is golden and the cheese begins to melt.

  6. Carefully flip and cook the second side until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.

  7. Remove from the skillet, cut into wedges, and serve hot. Repeat with the remaining tortillas, cheese, and apple.
